Hints and Tips

Thought it would be a good idea that we post some tips, that may help others improve their game.

Add this to to console cl_autowepswitch "0" so the weapon you have does not swap to something else when you run over it .
To change it back add cl_autowepswitch "1"

Yea thats a good tip. That has always been a pain when moving over weapons.

f you see two or more people fighting try and scavenge kills. Don't go in to early and you can get lucky and get all of them.

Another good way to get crosshairs, is to go into google and type bullseye crosshairs for halflife2deathmatch

Change your Client Rates.

Robbie that part was obvious. Why would you want to change you client rates. What are the pros and cons?

Basically What They Do The Lower The Rates You Have The Less Choke Your Likely To Get, can't think of any cons at the moment.

Okay. What if you change the rates & you are not happy with them. What are the default rates?

hi there..

if u want to get rid of the hud infos next to ur crosshair u can use this here to remove them

type: hud_quickinfo 0 (2remove)
or hud_qiuckinfo 1 (2reappear)


also u can choose ur rate setting manually (default is as far as i know 18000)

as example type: rate 20000 (wich most servers are running with)

mine is at 30000 (servers which doesn´t support this, will set it automatically back to 20000 when u join the game)
